Kari Pearson joins Compassionate Eye Foundation

Compassionate Eye Foundation (CEF) welcomes Kari Pearson as its Creative Director.

Seattle-based Kari Pearson joins the Summer Solstice Production team developing a comprehensive creative production concept for the annual, worldwide photo shoots. She also acts as lead liaison between executive producers in Canada, U.S, and U.K. and CEF's Production Chair, Rob Daly. Furthermore, Kari will work together with participating photographers offering art direction guidelines for this year's shoots.

Kari possesses the rare combination of a keen, artful eye for fashion & lifestyle photography, and art direction, as well as a calm, capable head for project organisation and shoot production. She draws on twelve years of experience at Getty Images to inform her current freelance career. Extensive travels (Asia, Latin America, Europe), big budgets, small budgets, location scouting, casting, cost and trend analysis, negotiations, and collaborators are the stuff of life for the Art Institute-educated, Southwest Washington native. Kari Pearson's photos have been published on TrendLand's online fashion site, Seattle Met magazine, and in addition, received art direction accolades as featured in PDN.

Compassionate Eye Foundation is delighted to be working with Kari, and looks forward to the 5th Summer Solstice Shoots as the images will continue to provide ongoing funding for the non-profit's philanthropic efforts.

Since the Summer Solstice Shoots were first held in 2006, the funds generated through image licensing with Getty Images have supported individuals and communities in Guatemala, South Africa, Sierra Leone, India and Ethiopia.
